How The AFLPA Worked with Powernet’s vCIO to Create Cybersecurity Policies
The AFLPA is a non-profit organisation supporting and advocating for players of the AFL and AFLW through assisting with negotiations, wellness and much more. The AFLPA is passionate about the care of players and helping them to access the support and care they need.
We would have been lost without Powernet's vCIO, she was very organised, across all the content, requirements and was very easy to work with.
THE CHALLENGE
Cybersecurity is a concern for all businesses and we want to be sure that we are on the front foot with our technology and the policies that support it.
‘We recently worked with Powernet’s vCIO on a project to create a new Cybersecurity Policy, we would have been lost without her. She was very organised, across all of the content and requirements and was very easy to work with‘ says Dulley.
‘Our old policies around cybersecurity were vague and broad, it has been good to dive in and get detailed, providing the business with a solid foundation to build on. Long term, this will make a huge difference to our business, by implementing a framework in which to build on’.
‘Writing policies isn’t a very exciting task but Powernet’s vCIO made the process easy to understand’.
THE SOLUTION
‘Looking back to where we came from before starting with Powernet, to where we are now, we have come such a long way. We are across our technology and having Powernet’s oversight of management is very helpful.
Powernet are great at IT projects and providing that one on one time together.
They are open and detailed with setting expectations and deliverables which feels more personal when compared with larger corporate IT companies’.
The Results
‘We are investing in security technology and want to ensure we have the right business policies to support a cybersafe workplace‘ says Dulley.
By utilising Powernet’s vCIO services, The AFLPA now has a robust Cybersecurity Policy in place.
