Lee Group is a Melbourne based, commercial fencing company, operating in the small to medium-sized business space. Founded in 1948, they originally operated as a domestic timber yard. Today they work in the B2B space working on commercial infrastructure projects such as freeway noise walls, fencing and gate solutions for rail and high-security fencing for prisons.

The Challenge

Lee Group had a number of Windows 7 workstations that needed to be replaced. In addition, they were looking to make their business cloud-based, giving their team the tools to work from anywhere and removing the requirement for on-premise server infrastructure.

Lee Group implemented Microsoft Teams across their business,  eliminating their requirement for an onsite server. Making their technology setup simple, scalable and cost-effective.

This enabled their team to operate through the pandemic with a work from home culture while Melbourne was in lockdown.

At the same time they upgraded their fleet of computers from Windows 7 to Windows 10, keeping them inline with the latest technology trends and helping to keep their business cybersafe.

Lee Group no longer maintains or relies on in office server infrastructure, they have a cost effective, simple solution that allows their team to seamlessly work from anywhere.

'We are able to schedule virtual meetings and access our files from home. This allows our team to easily work from home when required.' says Lampard.

Their computers now have the latest operating system, bringing them inline with today's technology trends and giving them a great baseline to build a robust cyber security framework.
